Looking for a Brown Method Facilitator?
The Brown Method is a new way to do therapy and addiction treatment. Over time, we hope to build a list of vetted facilitators on this page that includes both professional therapists and nonprofessionals who have themselves completed the work and successfully guided it. Meanwhile, Addiction Is the Symptom offers guidance on finding an open-minded professional to work with (see page 101, “Finding a Facilitator”). We’re eager to speak with therapists interested in adding The Brown Method to their practice and will be glad to answer any questions yours might have.

- Four years of mentorship with Dr. Brown
- Certified yoga instructor and Reiki Master
“I completed my step work with Dr. Brown in February 2014. It was a life-changing experience that completely shifted how I function in the world. I wanted to give that to others, so I then entered into a four-year mentorship with Dr. Brown with the goal of facilitating The Brown Method myself.
“Over the course of the mentorship, I successfully facilitated The Brown Method with others under Dr. Brown’s guidance. I also continued my personal work with Dr. Brown, completing the method’s core steps an additional four times as issues came up. Dr. Brown recommends doing this on a yearly basis to keep your consciousness clear, and I have found it to be extremely helpful.
“When you do the initial work of The Brown Method, you do a complete overhaul of your past, so you can understand how you got to your present state of being. It’s an eye-opening experience. It shows you how you’ve been living and functioning based on someone else’s false sense of reality. You have no idea until you examine yourself completely — your unique life story, pencil to paper — with someone else.
“If you are willing to suspend your control issues and follow The Brown Method, exactly as outlined in Dr. Brown’s book, I am willing to facilitate your journey.”
